Kit Siang supports call to make Petronas accounts public

Rembau Member of Parliament Khairy Jamaluddin had made a call to Petronas to make their accounts public few days ago. in his own speech, as former finance minister and also the representatives of people, the fuels hikes are expected by the public however the recently fuel hikes gives a huge shock. He expected the country are unlikely to support the huge rise of oil price, ie almost break through 200 us dollar per barrel. however he strongly disagreed that the government take such a sudden move to increase the petrol by almost 50% for petrol and 80% for diesel. As the petronas are making huge profits from the rise in the oil prices, the government should have enough of time and money to help the people to suit themselves to the current state.

After the oil price increased, demonstrations had been made everywhere, in order to calm the people, Khairy felt the Petronas company has the responsibility to make their accounts public.

After few days of Khairy call, DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang made his support to Khairy calls。

Will Petronas company respond to their calls and show their accounts to the public? or
instead of such call Petronas remains silent and refuse to make any respond to these call?
